Marc-Favreau Library

Located in the Rosement-La Petit Patrie borough of Montreal the Marc-Favreau Library is a project that aims to provide a unique environment where information, education and culture are accessible to all. The major objectives of the project are a space that is family-oriented, that promotes and provides access to information technology and that emphasises design and sustainability. This library seeks to obtain LEED Silver certification. 

On this project, Synairgis acted as LEED certification coordinator, responsible for achieving the LEED certification level and the environmental objectives targeted by the City of Montreal from the initial design until the building’s unveiling to the public.

LEED Certification Management - Our mandate :

  • Supporting the project professionals and the client throughout the LEED certification process
  • Integration of LEED requirements in construction documents
  • Providing assistance to stakeholders in the selection of materials according to LEED criteria (low VOC, recycled and regional content)
  • Support and supervision of the mobilization of the contractor and subcontractors
  • Verification of the application of LEED measures on-site (erosion and indoor air-quality control)
  • Quality control during construction
  • Final assembly and submission of the project LEED file and follow-ups during the audit
